It is important to us that our CONCEPT GREEN products are proportionately made of materials that are as natural and environmentally friendly as possible. HARRIS TWEED fabric is dyed and woven in Scotland with great care and tradition. Only 100% mulesing-free British virgin wool is used. HARRIS TWEED also refrains from bleaching the wool and uses the fibres in their natural state to produce light colours. The finished fabric is certified as free from harmful substances. GOTS certified outer fabric<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

. GOTS<\/a> is a globally recognised standard for the processing of textiles made from organically produced natural fibres. The seal defines environmental requirements along the entire textile production chain as well as social criteria. The fabrics used by our weavers, such as Leomaster, Marzotto and Olimpias, must also already be GOTS-certified in order for us to be able to produce our GOTS articles from them. We ourselves are also certified with the number CERES-1038.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

It is not only the processing of natural fibres that is environmentally friendly, but also the recycling of raw materials that are already in the cycle. This can be pre-consumer waste or post-consumer waste, for example. We use recycled cotton, recycled polyamide and recycled polyester, among other things. An approach to produce less waste in the long term and conserve natural resources.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

In addition, we use ingredients and fabrics that have already been certified by our suppliers and weavers. These include certified for harmful substances tested ingredients (e.g. buttons, lining, etc.) and outer fabrics for, among others, cotton and linen or certified paper and viscose from sustainable forestry. We also use sustainably certified cotton.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Vegetable-tanned leather<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tWe only use vegetable-tanned leather for our leather patches and buttons. This is a particularly environmentally friendly tanning method. It is chrome- and metal-free. This plant-based process takes longer and is more expensive than conventional tanning and leaves no metals that have to be cleaned in wastewater. The leather is also made by hand, which is why no emissions are released into the atmosphere during production. Vegetable tanning is currently the most ecologically sustainable form of processing.\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
